I can't decide between the different flavours. Where can I taste your cakes?

After receiving an indicative quote, you can book an appointment in the Kicca Cakes studio to taste a few different recipes.

What type of icing do you use?

To top our delicious cake and give them the perfect look, we use soft or regal icing. If you are not fond of icing, don’t worry, it is only 2-3mm thick and it doesn’t compromise the flavour of the cake, but icing is essential to ensure the design is excellent. For some cakes, chocolate or marzipan can be used as icing.

Can you cater for special dietary requirements?

Cakes can be made without alcohol, eggs or nuts on request. Please let us know about any special dietary requirements when ordering.

However, nuts and eggs are used in our kitchen, so by law we cannot guarantee that the cake is completely free of all nut and egg traces for highly sensitive people. All our cakes are suitable for vegetarians.

When should I order?

We usually ask for at least 2 weeks for novelty cakes and 2 months for wedding cakes. Although we are sometimes able to accommodate a last-minute order, we are often fully booked at busy times of the year, and to avoid disappointment it is always better to order as early as possible.

Timing is essential to allow us to plan our schedule as all of our cakes (except our fruit cakes which need time to mature) are freshly baked just before your event to ensure the cakes are soft, light and taste delicious.

What are your delivery charges?

Any designer cake that you order can be picked up from our studio in London for free. Simply let us know when you would like to come and we will make sure that your cake is securely packaged for transportation.

Delivery of novelty, celebration or small wedding cakes can be made by a trusted cab company and is charged by postcode.

For wedding cake or large novelty cake we offer a personal service of deliver and set-up of the cake at the venue so you can enjoy your celebration with no worries. This service starts from £50 and the price depends on the location.

If you choose to collect your wedding cake from our studio, we will provide you with full set-up instructions and secure packaging for transportation.

Some cakes can be collected up to 2 days before the event.

Do you have cake stands?

We offer a variety of cake stands for hire. Please note that cake stands are only available if ordered with a cake and need to be returned to us in within 3 working days of the event.

What can I serve with the cake?

Our cakes are moist and make a delicious dessert. If you want to serve it together with something else, we recommend serving it with cream or ice cream and some fresh berries or coulis.
